Bridging the Divide on Copyright

The search for a balance between online access to content and the rights of content creators is one of the defining features of our age. It is an issue that generates passion among people who disagree. ICOMP believes that the scope of that disagreement can be reduced if reasonable people on both sides of the debate are willing to engage with each other and to find issues on which they do agree. All it takes is a healthy dose of goodwill.

Stop shooting the messenger

ICOMP has a broad and diverse membership, covering the full spectrum of companies engaged in online commerce, big and small and from 15 different countries. It has also engaged with and found common ground with an even more diverse group of commercial interests including advertisers, telcos, technology companies and online publishers around the world. As part of its mission, it has reached out and spoken to regulators, legislators, consumer groups and every shade of the press.
